The Ashna Home: A Place of Love, Care, and Hope
The Ashna Child Home is a special place for kids who are going through tough times because of poverty, conflicts, or other terrible situations. It was started in 2006 and is located in a beautiful village called Mangalpur in the Chitwan district. This home gives these children the care, attention, and hope for a better future.
At the Ashna home, every day is filled with hope and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. There are twenty-two children living there who have lost their parents or don't have the basic things they need to live a good life. But at this home, they are given love, care, and a new family. Some kids finish their high school studies here and then move on to college, while new children join the home to get the help and attention they need. The home has a kitchen, two study rooms, and separate sleeping areas for girls and boys. It's an important place that provides these children with everything they need to live a happy and successful life.
The main goal of the home is to create a safe and loving environment for children who have lost their parents or who come from very poor backgrounds. They are given food, clothes, education, and emotional support. The people who work at Ashna home are very dedicated and work hard to make sure each child gets the care they need. They make special plans for each child based on what they need to grow and succeed.
Education and learning new skills are important at this home. The children get a great education that helps them overcome their difficulties and do well in the future. They also learn practical skills that will help them when they grow up and become independent. The goal is to make sure these children become confident and capable adults.

Our History
The Ashna Home was founded in 2006 in Mangalpur, Chitwan district, Nepal, with a mission to provide compassionate care and support to children facing adversity due to poverty, conflict, or the loss of their parents. Initially starting with a small group of children, Ashna quickly became a beacon of hope within the community, offering a safe haven where children received shelter, nourishment, education, and emotional support.
Over the years, Ashna has expanded its facilities and programs to cater to more children. To date, 51 disadvantaged children have completed their secondary education and successfully transitioned out of the home, securing jobs and pursuing higher education opportunities. Their success demonstrates Ashna's effective approach to nurturing children's development.
Currently, Ashna Home is home to 22 underprivileged children who receive comprehensive support. This includes not only academic education but also practical skills training to prepare them for independent living and future success. The home continues to prioritize creating a supportive environment where children feel loved, valued, and part of a nurturing community.

Our Future Plan
Ashna Home has identified a crucial gap in the support system for secondary school graduates who have completed their education but face significant challenges in transitioning into adulthood. These young adults come from underprivileged backgrounds and lack the necessary support to navigate this critical phase of their lives effectively. Recognizing this need, Ashna Home is preparing for a transformative initiative to build a transitional home that will provide a safe haven and comprehensive support for these secondary school graduates.
